Kristen
HR Consultant
Kristen has been working within the nonprofit sector for nearly three decades.
She started her career in Philadelphia volunteering for AIDS Service organizations where she “found her calling.” A few years later she began working in New York City at GMHC as their Director of Major Donors, while simultaneously volunteering for several nonprofit events in New York City, Fire Island, as well as the Hamptons.
Kristen made a foray into publishing, working at OUT and The Advocate magazines as the Director of Promotions. She eventually returned to the nonprofit sector, most recently serving on the board of directors for Miami Beach Gay Pride, as well as on the executive committee and as auction co-chair for the LGBTQ Task Force’s Gala Miami.
For the past seven years Kristen pivoted into Human Resources where she serves as Assistant Director of Human Resources & Benefits Manager at Caring, Inc., a nonprofit that serves adults with intellectual disabilities throughout the state of New Jersey.
Kristen’s favorite place on earth is New York City and Fire Island, where she loves to reconnect with dear friends. Cooking for her family and friends is one of her many passions, she also loves music of all genres, and going on road trips!
She holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership, specializing in Human Resources from the University of Arizona.
