Ann Morris has over 20 years of experience as a senior leader in non-profit finance and organizational operations.  Prior to joining Carey & Co., Ann worked for NYC Outward Bound Schools as Chief Financial and Operations Officer, leading core internal functions including finance, facilities, information technology, human resources, and office administration. Ann is a passionate financial and operational leader with a mission-driven approach to work, dedicated to making a positive impact through strategic financial planning and the management of organizational resources. Her expertise includes using budgets as a powerful tool to narrate the program story, enabling organizations to fulfill their mission and goals effectively. She is proficient in setting up and managing systems to enhance financial workflows, strengthen accounting practices and internal controls, and ensure robust auditing procedures.  Ann has extensive experience in advising senior staff and board members, including Finance, Audit and Executive committees, on organizational financial condition and financial management strategies, and has a proven track record of developing collaborative relationships with program staff, government administrators, clients, and other partners.

Ann received a Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive Science from Brown University and a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Financial Management from New York University.  

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ann, her husband and daughter have a deep love for the outdoors, with a particular passion for hiking and skiing.
